With your savings and/or checking account at Dakotaland, you have the option of applying for a FREE Advantage ATM card, which stands for Automated Teller Machine. An ATM is a machine or computerized terminal that gives credit union members the ability to access their funds without the need of a teller. You may use your ATM Card for withdrawals, transfers and balance inquiries. Your ATM card from your Credit Union may be used at any Dakotaland ATM or from thousands of other surcharge free ATM's on the Advantage Network. Dakotaland owns several ATM's in the communities in which we serve. Our ATM's provide FREE, unlimited transactions when you use any Dakotaland issued ATM Card.
Every member has a four-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number), as a matter of security that must be keyed in before transactions can be performed. An ATM card gives you access to your funds 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Apply for your ATM card today!

A Dakotaland FREE Advantage ATM & Debit/Check Card is actually two products on one piece of plastic. It's an ATM card allowing you 24-hour access to your checking & savings accounts, and it's a Debit/Check Card allowing you access to your checking account for purchases at millions of merchants that accept Debit/Check Cards. Such a card allows members to access their funds immediately, electronically. Unlike a credit card, a debit/check card transaction posts immediately from the available balance in the cardholder's account. If the available funds are insufficient, the transaction is declined. A debit/check card is faster than paper checks and is safer than cash. For added security, your Credit Union offers Verified By Visa which verifies card ownership when the cardholder wishes to make online purchases.
